i’m loving mondays: the boss and deep trust

I'm loving:

1. Bruce Springsteen. Dig this quote from this month's Rolling Stone:

"The fire I feel in myself, it's a very enjoyable thing. It carries an element of desperateness. It also carries an element of thankfulness."

The Boss took the words right out of my mouth. Purrrr.

2. That when we go into bookstores, my husband takes our kid straight to the children's section so that I can have some alone time with the magazines...and Bruce Springsteen.

3. Daily Poetics. I go here when my brain needs comforting, when my soul needs some dew. I'm smitten and grateful for the extreme thoughtfulness of this beauty.

4. This 45 second I Hate Twitter video. Sassy brits.

5. That I've learned not to meddle and to let things take their course. Hard won, gorgeous lesson.

It's Monday. Make your love list here and now. It feels good.

    Aloha, Danielle.

Thanks for kick-starting my week with this post. Gratitude is always the place to start.

I love Daily Poetics and forwarded the link to my youngest sister, a poet herself. Soul food, indeed!

    Blessings to you.

I've been looking forward to writing my Monday Loves list all weekend :)

    1. My VAT return is now finished and filed! I worked so hard to get it finished I thought I was going insane, and to have it finished well before the deadline was a great feeling. Hard work is always worth that great buzz you get when it's done and you can feel proud of yourself.

    2. My family - this week has shown me just how amazing my family are, and how much love I have in my life. From my daughter and OH to my parents and my OH's parents, I am surrounded by wonderful people.

    3. Danielle! Honestly, it may sound a bit cheesy to write that here, but I am so pleased I found this page, and where it's taken me. It's made me focus on the more important things in my life, and start to let go of the negativity I seem to cling to.

    4. This one ties in with number 3, but after reading Danielle's Monday List today, I followed the link to Daily Poetics, and then found their Flickr page, which is amazing! I just spent the last half hour looking at all the pictures n there and it's wonderful. It's now bookmarked and I can see me going back there often.

    5. My bed. After spending Friday and Saturday night sleeping in the living room so the BF's parents could have our bed, last night was the best night's sleep I had for a long time!

    6. The fact that I could list about 10 more things here!!
