burning questions with susannah conway: beauty that heals
Susannah Conway reminds me of a hand painted tea cup: worn with love, cherished, elegant but wide open. Soothing. Something/someone you'd want to spend quality time with...talking about beauty and pop culture, and what it means to really notice your life. And what it means to create beauty and to be obsessed with that creating.
Susannah is happily afflicted with Polaphrenia, [noun, a clinical obsession with Polaroid film and cameras, often accompanied by an inability to control oneself when faced with a large stash of expired 600 film and a sunny day.] She is a photographer, a collector of moments, a seeker, and the creator of the incredibly popular "Unraveling" e-Course. And she is the first video interview on WhiteHotTruth.com, captured on film, beautifully. Naturally.
The next session of Susannah's e-course, Unravelling: Ways of Seeing My Self will be enrolling on Tuesday December 1st. The actual class begins on Monday January 4th and will definitely help to banish any January blues! The course will run for 8 weeks and the fee is £80 (British pounds). Every e-course Susannah offers sells out the day of enrollment, usually within two hours of being announced. Need I say more?

thorough, deep and full of wonderful human. way to rock the new medium, D. Thank you, S, for lighting yourself just right and giving so much here. Favorite question: what are you positively addicted to? Keep shooting, Susannah, it's working.

Susannah seems really passionate about her activity. But I suppose normal people call it "obsessed".
PS: You might wanna conside recording the videos with a higher sound volume. I almost blew my sound system trying to here properly. Lovely images though :)

Sus is great, I am taking her Unravelling course at the moment and I am having a great time. And if I may say so, I should add that the beauty of the course is also down to the people who are taking it with me. You will find that Susannah attracts people like her, and that can only be a good thing, no? Danielle, thanks again...!

I'm currently in Susannah's Unravelling class and it is beyond amazing. I took it on a whim and hoped for the best. It is worth ten times the cost for the emotional growth and support I have received in this special space. Not only is Susannah's guidance so warm, honest and nuturing but she also attracts kindred spirits to her class. Sign up right away and be prepared to be blown away....

Two Susannah videos this morning - one with food, one without. Maybe food for thought? I have been through her 1st Unravelling course, and am now in the midst of her 2nd course - Exploring the Senses. She has a gift for the flow of things - there is always a point where I find myself saying "Oh!" And things begin to roll. Loved her shadow answer - so, so, SO different from mine in my head, which was that a shadow means the sun is shining, and you can't beat that. Loved this.

Such an honour to be here, and thank you so much for these lovely comments! Debi, it is endlessly fascinating to me how we all have our own interpretations of words, pictures, ideas... i love it

if i had my way, EVERY interaction would include this much texture and insight.
susannah: i'm thankful for so many things here... your transmutation of loss ("sit in the pain... honor them by surviving")... your startling answer about shadow ("sometimes it's more interesting than what's lit")... your wide open aperture. what an honor to see through it.
danielle: bravo! on the new interviewing format. i love the immediacy and fullness of it. and the way you've kept it 100% on the interviewee... generous! provocative!
more tea, please ;-)

Beautiful way of doing the interview. Susannah was incredibly engaging. Hadn't planned on being so interested.
And, of course, Danielle, your interview is inspiring on Susannah's site. Hey, could you share Crank my "Devotion Emotion" or "TranceBoomYa" i-Pod playlists with your readers? Always looking for new inspirational stuff. Recently added Paolo Nutini's New Shoes.

It's so true...time is not what heals...sitting in the emotions & doing the work is really what does the healing. It was a good reminder, so thank you for the honesty & the peek into your world.
